There is a famous African proverb;
"If you want to go fast go alone.
If you want to go far, go together."
Together we can help women. We can literally donate money to take weight off their shoulders.
I visited a small area in a southern African country where the women carried their handicapped children on their back for the entire life of the child. Some women had toddlers. Some had preteens. These children weren't able to walk and they couldn't afford a wheel chair. So they carry them; everywhere, all the time.
My church partnered with a local church to hand out basic necessities, show love to them and pray with them. I think they just appreciated knowing people cared. At the end they thanked us and asked that they would not be forgotten.
Some women from the local church, Maluba and Maureen, and I want to help. They went back to that area of town and talked with the women. There are eight women who are carrying their child on their backs. Maluba and Maureen can buy wheelchairs and wheelchair accessories and deliver them. However they need financial help.
We are trying to raise $2,000 to let them know people care. I have set up a "Go Fund me" Page. The campaign is called "Going Far together."
